FAQs

Who is this for?

1.

Serious creatives who want to level up taste, design instincts, and decisionmaking-not just collect tutorials. Great for artists/designers who want sharper thinking and stronger output.

Is this course live?

2.

Yes. Every session is taught live by Neville Page.

While there may be supporting materials and recordings available where applicable, the heart of the experience is the live interaction. Students can ask questions, participate in discussions, receive feedback, and engage directly with both Neville and their fellow creatives throughout the course.

NPA is designed to be a learning experience, not simply content consumption.

What skill level is required?

3.

Advanced Design Thinking is designed primarily for working professionals, emerging professionals, and highly committed students seeking a deeper understanding of creative development and problem-solving.

This is not a beginner's introduction to design.

The course assumes that participants already possess a creative practice and are interested in refining how they observe, think, communicate, and develop ideas.

While artistic backgrounds will vary, students should arrive prepared to engage seriously with the material, contribute to discussions, and challenge their existing assumptions about the creative process.

This course is less concerned with how well you render an idea and more concerned with how well you develop one.

Is it only for entertainment designers?

4.

No. The first cohort may focus on creature/character/prop-type work, but the methods translate directly to industrial design, fashion, toy, automotive, illustration, and storytelling/IP development.

Will this teach software (ZBrush/Photoshop/etc.)?

5.

Software may be used, but the focus is design thinking, iteration, problemsolving, and communicating ideas-not button-by-button instruction.

We understand that life, work, and family commitments sometimes make attendance impossible.

Whenever available, recordings will be provided to enrolled students so they can review the material and remain engaged with the course. However, NPA is designed as a live learning experience, and some of the greatest value comes from participating in real-time discussions, critiques, questions, and creative exploration.

Think of the recordings as a safety net—not a substitute for being in the room.

What if I miss a class?

What is the refund policy?

7.

Please check the “Terms and Policies” page for all of those details.

Will I receive feedback from Neville?

8.

Absolutely. He is there, live, the entire time.

Yes. Any original work you create during the course belongs to you.

Neville Page Academy is designed to help students develop their own ideas—not create work for us. We may occasionally request permission to showcase outstanding student projects, but ownership remains with the creator. For additional information, please refer to our Terms & Policies.

Do I own the work I create?
